Startup development, agricultural innovation and local business opportunities take centre stage at Giridih District Collectorate

Giridih, Jharkhand, 29 September 2026 — Mr. Rajeev Singh, Founder & Managing Director of Sansar Green, participated as a special guest in the TEJAS programme held at the District Collectorate, Giridih. Addressing young people, entrepreneurs, students and startup founders, he shared practical lessons on building businesses, adopting technology and turning local needs into entrepreneurial opportunities.

“You may start in a small town, but your dreams do not have to be small,” Mr. Singh said, encouraging participants to think beyond geographical boundaries while building on the strengths of their communities.

The Deputy Commissioner, Giridih, attended as Chief Guest. The programme also brought together the Deputy Development Commissioner, Divisional Forest Officer, General Manager of the Industries Department, DPIIT representatives, district administration officials, business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Rajeev Singh Shares Lessons from Sansar Green’s Journey

Drawing on his experience building Sansar Green, Mr. Singh explained that entrepreneurship begins with understanding a problem that people need help solving.

For an agricultural enterprise, this could mean providing timely guidance to farmers, improving access to quality agricultural inputs or connecting local produce with suitable buyers. A clear understanding of the customer’s needs helps an entrepreneur develop a useful product or service.

He emphasised that a good idea must be supported by customer feedback, careful planning and consistent delivery. Building trust, developing a capable team and adapting to changing requirements are essential parts of the entrepreneurial journey.

Practical Guidance for Aspiring Startup Founders

During his address, Mr. Singh discussed startup development, innovation, Ease of Doing Business, digital commerce, technology adoption and market linkages.

He encouraged young entrepreneurs to take practical steps before committing substantial resources to an idea:

  • Speak with potential customers to understand their needs.
  • Develop and test a solution on a small scale.
  • Assess costs, pricing and market demand.
  • Build a dependable team and deliver on commitments.
  • Improve products and services using customer feedback.

He highlighted the importance of early milestones. A successful trial, a satisfied customer or a repeat order can help founders understand what is working and where improvements are needed.

These experiences provide a stronger basis for expansion and help entrepreneurs make informed decisions about investment and growth.

Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Giridih and Jharkhand

Mr. Singh highlighted opportunities across agriculture, food processing, local products, manufacturing, digital services and rural enterprises in Giridih and Jharkhand.

Entrepreneurs who understand regional resources, customer preferences and local challenges have a valuable starting point. Connecting this knowledge with technology, consistent quality and access to markets can help a business serve customers beyond its immediate location.

He encouraged participants to explore opportunities within their own communities. Improving the packaging of a local product, providing a useful digital service or addressing an agricultural supply gap can become the foundation of a viable enterprise.

The priority, he explained, is to identify a genuine need and develop the capability to meet it reliably.

Connecting Agriculture, Technology and Markets

Agriculture offers several areas where entrepreneurs can develop practical solutions for farmers and rural businesses.

In his address, Mr. Singh discussed the importance of timely advice, reliable agricultural inputs and stronger market connections. These themes reflect Sansar Green’s broader approach to linking agricultural knowledge and innovation with everyday farming needs.

Through its “Mitti Se Mandi Tak” vision, Sansar Green focuses on the connections between soil health, agricultural inputs, farmer guidance and market access. This perspective encourages entrepreneurs to consider the wider agricultural value chain when identifying opportunities.

Technology can support this work, but its value depends on how effectively it addresses a user’s needs. Understanding the customer remains central to developing a service or product that people can adopt and trust.

Creating Employment and Rural Livelihood Opportunities

Mr. Singh also spoke about the wider contribution of entrepreneurship. As businesses develop, they can create opportunities for employees, farmers, suppliers, service providers and local partners.

He encouraged young people to consider how their ideas could benefit others alongside supporting their own professional growth.

For Sansar Green, this connection between enterprise and community development is an important part of its work. Under Mr. Singh’s leadership, the company remains committed to using agriculture, innovation and technology to develop useful solutions and support livelihood opportunities.

Collaboration to Strengthen the Local Startup Ecosystem

The TEJAS programme provided a platform for interaction among entrepreneurs, government representatives, students and members of the business community.

Mr. Singh highlighted the value of continued learning, experienced guidance and collaboration. Connections among administration, educational institutions, industry and startups can help aspiring founders develop their ideas and understand the steps required to build a business.

Sansar Green extends its sincere gratitude to the district administration, DPIIT representatives, the Industries Department and all organisers for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to the discussion.

The message for young entrepreneurs was clear: start with a meaningful problem, test a practical solution and build steadily through experience. A business that begins by serving local needs can develop the capability to reach markets across India.
